Sarah Lockett Seascapes

About Sarah Lockett
I am an artist inspired by the North Devon coast. Time spent in this area of outstanding natural beauty provided the inspiration for my first seascape, painted whilst I was living in Wisconsin, America. It was here that my passion for painting began, encouraged by a wonderful teacher and an inspirational group of female artists.
Although I started my career as a home interiors journalist, after several successful exhibitions in the USA, when I returned to the UK in 2007,
I decided to continue exhibiting and to concentrate on developing my painting style.
In 2015, my Devon seascapes were exhibited at the Agora Gallery, Manhattan, New York.
I continue to be inspired by all elements of the North Devon coast, my home, and am currently creating a series of impressionist works, some of which were included in the recent New Atlantic Wave Exhibition, in Appledore.
My incentive is always to capture a memory, a feeling or connection with the vastness of sea and sky, in the hope that others may make that same connection.
If you are interested in my work, or if you would like to commission a particular seascape, I would be delighted to hear from you.
